When the Priest went into the Holy of Holies, he came with incense and burning coals. He would kneel and carefully sprinkle the incense of the coals before the ark.  As the fragrance filled the room, he would then sprinkle the blood of the sacrifice on the mercy seat. The presence of God would be experienced as the incense rose. This a prophetic picture of how the work of Jesus on the cross intercedes for us today.  His blood was the antidote needed to destroy the sin barrier between a righteous God and unrighteous man. Now we are the tabernacle!!!  We are the dwelling place of God.  We are sitting in heavenly places with Christ Jesus our Lord. What a joy to serve this marvelous Savior. What a joy to be sons and daughters of God that can run to him and jump on His lap.  To enjoy His presence.
