Today we honor Father’s, but most of all we honor our Father in Heaven, Hallowed Be His Name! Herbert shared from the book by A.W. Tozer, “The Knowledge of the Holy”, telling how often the human heart is prone to the sin of Idolatry, something God truly hates. According to the book, the idolatrous heart can dishonor God by assuming that God is other than He really is. We tend to substitute the “true God” for one made after our own likeness. That is Idolatry!  There is great importance in having a “proper view of God”, and a “proper view of ourselves as children or God.” Hebert used the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 as a great example of how having a wrong view of God can lead us astray, and ultimately away from God all together.  Listen to learn how to view our Father in Heaven rightly, and give Him all honor and glory due His Name!
