Ceremonies performed in the Old Testament were actually a foreshadowing of the New Testament. Now we can see that God was revealing His plan, His sacrifice – Jesus – in the priestly service. Just as the priests had to be cleansed before entering the Holy of Holies, we must cleanse ourselves. As we make our approach closer and closer to the Holy of Holies, desiring to be holy as He is holy, we look into the mirrored bowl and we allow the Holy Spirit to show us our reflection as He sees us, so He can walk us through our own sanctification process. Oh the beauty we will discover as we meet with Him. Passionately pursuing Him, with faith, knowing it is in His presence all that needs to be cleared out and cleansed will be revealed, dealt with and healed. And then we will reflect Him in our lives.
