Day 14 – REV UP! REVERBERATE

We know Peter’s experience. We know Cornelius and those gathered with him had an experience on earth that REVerberated from heaven.

Now let’s look at John in the Book of Revelation. The fact that I said look at the Book of Revelation can be hard for us in relating to John. He was writing the book of the future, after all. Correct? That can be intimidating.

However, we don’t get that intimidated about reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Paul’s books. They were ALL men, led by the Spirit of God to write what they wrote, and we apply the Spirit wisdom from those books to our lives.

Look at what God is saying to us today from the Book of Revelation, and how we can apply to ourselves. We can come into agreement with His words from the heavenly realm. 2021 is more than just having a voice; it is knowing we have HIS voice. Then we can bring the sounds of heaven to earth and they will REVerberate across the land to bring people near to our covenant making God.

So let’s begin by looking at how relationship with God is the key.

Revelation 1:10 NKJV

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet …

 

What was happening to John here? He was in the Spirit.

This root word for spirit is:

Pneuma: a current of air, breath (blast) or a breeze, a spirit Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit: ghost, life, spirit (-ual, -ually), mind

This is the same word used for the Spirit that descended when Jesus was water baptized. It is also the same word in Isaiah 61 for how the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. It is also the same word for when the Spirit descended in Acts 2, when they were all filled with the Spirit and spoke in other tongues. It is the same word in Romans 8:16, that says “the Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.” It is also the same word for the Spirit that gives us the understanding that this same Spirit that was operating in Jesus, in the disciples, and in John the REVelator, is still working in the children of God. It is so that we may know the things freely given to us. That is BIG!

1 Corinthians 2:12 NKJV

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

 

Now then, we must see in all of these Scriptures that when we are in the Spirit, we have the same capabilities to hear what God is saying in heaven so that it can be REVealed on earth.

However, John said he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day. This means that he was alive in the Spirit when he was honoring Jesus and in God’s time. He was not held to this earth’s atmosphere. He was experiencing what can only be experienced by choosing to live your day within the Lord’s timing to REVeal what was necessary and then to bring His message.

Look at the next verse to see what the Lord told John to do:

Revelation 1:11 NKJV

Saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”

 

Now in John’s time in history these were functioning churches. If you read what they were doing and what they were accomplishing, they had a lot of assets. Actually we would probably give some of them an “A” report card.

But heaven’s message was to be sent from John while he was still on earth, to the churches that were functioning on the earth. It was to examine what they were doing right, and change what they were doing wrong. This could not be accomplished by just writing a letter. This was going to be addressed by the Spirit of God releasing what was told to John in the heavenlies and awakening those on earth to the truth of what was needed to bring God’s will to earth.

So John had to be under the anointing of God to release these heavenly words with the power of the Holy Spirit they would REVerberate into the churches, to cause an effective change. What else did John do?

Revelation 1:12 NKJV

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me.

 

Does this remind you of Moses? The Spirit writes things more than once to emphasize them to us.

I have spoken to you often regarding the fact that it takes more than just going to God with your needs. We need to go to Him to see what He wants, to see what He needs from us. For us to set time alone with Him is not a suggestion—it is a necessity.

Then when we become aware that we have actually entered into the Spirit realm, which can only be reached by acknowledging Him, we must turn away from ourselves, from the natural, and turn to see the voice that is speaking to us.

I am not talking about just hearing Jesus say, “I love you,” though He does say that to us over and over.

We have prophetic training classes on YouTube (from 2017) if you want to know how to be assured you are called to hear His voice. We are His sheep and we hear His voice. Scripture proves it out over and over. I am talking now about going higher, and digging deeper.

I am talking about being willing to pay the price to set apart time to hear. Set apart time to turn to see the One who brings the Word that the world and the Church need to hear.

If we recognize that God is telling us to REV UP, then we know that something is not being REVved up enough in our Spirit lives.

This instruction is for us, the people of God, the Church of the living God. We must bring words that are not just words. This is the time for the Ekklesia of God to bring truths that REVerberate through the airwaves to reach those who need to know what needs to happen and what needs to change for God’s will to be made known.

God’s desire is for the Church to be go beyond acceptability to their peers into the acceptability to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is then we will operate beyond ourselves. It is then we will speak with a clarion call (a brilliantly clear call) to affect the Church body and to affect the world.

I feel the Spirit now, just pleading for these times. God is calling us to come up higher. We are to go to new realms of the Spirit to get higher REVelations.

He is preparing us for REVival. Now there has been a lot of CHANGE already this year. God is changing things so rapidly and I know He will be there, right on time. As I was writing the fasting guide, I felt to stop writing here. But there is more! We will fast 21 days. I have plans that I will REVeal concerning this. Just please stay on track for 21 days of fasting!

Today, let us pray that our voice will be used to REVerberate the will of the Father from heaven to earth.
