Day: Day 2
Date: January 10, 2023
Title: KINGDOM LIVING: Jesus is alive!
There are pillars of the Kingdom that Peter spoke of when the first Church began in that day of Spirit revelation.
As Peter preached to those present on the Day of Pentecost, he began to lay the foundational truths that the Church of the living God would stand upon until the day He returns for the glorious Church without spot or wrinkle.
I think for those of us that have been Christians for quite a while, we get used to saying things that are familiar to us from the Word of God.
We get so used to hearing things and reading things that we have heard before from the Word of God, that we are not getting Spirit revelation. These are truths that we must keep alive within us if we are going to be living, breathing, effective people of God.
God has given us keys from Heaven that will affect earth, as we learn to identify them and use them correctly.
We are the ones that have come to know that Jesus is the Christ, just as those who heard Peter came to know on Pentecost so long ago. The day we give our life to Him everything changes, just as it did for them.
They began to operate as the Father always intended for His children to operate. What they knew from the past (the system under the law), changed so they could operate under a new and better system of grace, with power!
Peter wasn’t saying words, he was releasing power from Heaven as he was proclaiming the truth of the change that had taken place in his own life, and for the lives of others who would hear it and respond.
This is still the Father’s desire for His Church.
There is POWER in the presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ when those who proclaim it, have revelation that He is still alive and able to present the will of His Father with evidence from the changes He has made in their lives!
We are the ones that continue to recognize this truth and proclaim it boldly:
Jesus is ALIVE!
Acts 2:32 NLT
God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this.
We, as the Church, must have the Kingdom of God Reality that Jesus is still alive every day of our lives.
We know He is alive because our testimony is this:
Colossians 1:13 NASU
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son,
He delivered us from the authority of darkness and He transferred us into the Kingdom of light.
Hallelujah!
Colossians 1:14 NASU
In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Oh yes, Jesus is alive! He has done a work already in every believer. However, once someone experiences that Kingdom Reality, it is only just the beginning.
Because Jesus is alive, we must live our lives with that ringing in our hearts every day.
When we wake up we should proclaim, “Jesus is alive, and He is alive in me!”
We have testimonies to prove it. But there is more for us than just knowing He is alive.
His life IN US should be bringing the power of our resurrection to resurrect others.
What does that look like?
It looks like God’s will being done on earth as it is in Heaven.
At Liberty, we know that God has a call on our lives to take action, not to just know about what has been done.
We are the ones He is counting on now to make a prophecy of old be recognized as “THIS IS THAT” that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah!
Let us start at the beginning:
Isaiah 61:1 NASU
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.
Jesus is alive, and He is alive IN US, enabling us to be moved with the Spirit of God, with His presence empowering us.
I think in our heads we know this is true. But if we are really aware of Him being alive, then we must act with the Spirit with God’s heart.
We must be bold to speak good news to the afflicted. That means we speak good news to the depressed, the needy, and the poor.
What is the good news? Jesus is alive and is in the midst of us to set them free.
To bind up means to bring the ability to govern. What does “bring the ability to govern” mean? It means to rule over the brokenness that the enemy has brought, and to preach and publish LIBERTY – freedom, outflow, and clarity to the captives.
Now that is Kingdom living!
When we proclaim this under His authority, moving with the Spirit of God’s Kingdom Realities, God will bring healing to the broken and infirmed.
He will break open the prison doors as we “loose” them from their captivity.
Yes, it is going to be a year where we see and proclaim and experience once again that JESUS IS ALIVE!
That is a forever pillar that we can count on.
ACTIVATION:
Start a prayer journal of Faith for 2023.
Write down who and what you are going to rule over this year in your Kingdom living authority.
Pray, (and continue to pray until God answers it), then circle it in your journal and bring a testimony to church to share.
PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for coming to earth. Thank You for showing us Kingdom Realities. Thank You for becoming the Anointed One that would carry our sins to the cross as an innocent man, to pay the price we could not pay. Thank You for trusting the Father to send the Spirit to raise You up from the dead. Thank You for resurrecting and giving us a brand new life. Thank You for living in our hearts. Thank You for awakening spiritual truths to us for us to enjoy this year. Thank You for activating the Kingdom inside of us.
We are grateful today for who You are, and we proclaim LOUDLY to the whole world that JESUS IS ALIVE!
Hallelujah!
