ESTHER

Day: Day Six
Date: January 10, 2026

We continue this week looking at those who had to Align with Heaven’s agenda to fulfill what was in God’s heart. Each of them faced hard decisions, great opposition, and moments when obedience required courage. But as we’ve seen, every single one found that Heaven’s Alignment leads to Heaven’s power and purpose.
Today, our example is Esther–a woman chosen by God for such a time as this.

CALLED INTO ALIGNMENT
Esther’s story is one of divine positioning. Though she was an orphan, raised by her cousin Mordecai, God placed her in a royal palace. It wasn’t coincidence—it was divine orchestration.

Esther 2:17

The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Esther didn’t know it then, but she was being positioned for Heaven’s assignment long before she understood her purpose.

And isn’t that true for us, too? Many times, God is preparing us behind the scenes. We don’t see all the details, but He is arranging every step to place us exactly where we need to be–not for comfort, but for calling.

THE TEST OF ALIGNMENT
Everything seemed fine until a decree went out to destroy all the Jews. In that moment, Esther had a choice: remain silent and safe, or risk her life to stand for God’s people.

Mordecai’s words became the divine call to Align:

Esther 4:13–14

13 Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

There it is—the High Call. Esther had to decide whether she would Align her earthly position with Heaven’s purpose.

Like Esther, we too face moments when silence seems safer, but obedience is required. Heavenly Alignment is not passive—it requires action, courage, and surrender.

Part of this fast is for us to fully Align with God and know that what we are doing is the way God wants us to do it.

Notice that Esther didn’t rush ahead. Her first response was to fast and seek God’s direction.

Esther 4:16

Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!

This is powerful—she sought to Align Heaven and earth through fasting and prayer. That is what this 21-day fast is about for us, too. We don’t move until we’ve heard from Heaven. We don’t speak until we’ve received His instruction.

Fasting positions us to hear. It humbles us to yield. It Aligns us to obey. Then, we can enjoy Heaven’s response.

When Esther stepped into her assignment, Heaven backed her. The same woman who once hid her identity now boldly stood before the king and risked everything.

And what was the result? Deliverance came for her people.

Esther 8:5

If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight… let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman…

Because one woman Aligned with Heaven, an entire nation was saved. That’s the power of one “yes” in Heaven’s Alliance.

REFLECT on this with me:
God is calling us, just like Esther, to rise up in courage and obedience. This is a time to recognize that where we are, and what we have, are not accidents. They are assignments.

Heaven is looking for people who will say, “If I perish, I perish—but I will obey the voice of God.”

PRAYER
Father,
Thank You for positioning me for Your purpose.
Even when I do not see the full picture, I trust that You are orchestrating every step for Your glory. Help me to be bold like Esther—willing to stand, speak, and act in Alignment with Your will.
As I fast and pray, Align my heart with Heaven’s agenda.
Give me courage to say yes to Your High Call, no matter the cost. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
