JOSEPH

Day: Day Three
Date: January 07, 2026

This week, we are looking at examples of people who had to Align with Heaven’s agenda in order to bring forth what was in God’s heart.

So far, we’ve seen that Aligning with Heaven is not easy—it requires surrender, humility, and patience. But as we continue, we will see that every act of obedience positions us for great purpose and blessing.

Today, we will be looking at Joseph.

Joseph’s life teaches us how Heaven’s Alignment can take years of shaping before it is fully revealed. From dreams in his youth to the prison and finally the palace, Joseph’s journey reminds us that Alignment is not always instant—it is often developed through testing.

Dreams were what kept Joseph moving forward, but not before they brought trouble.

Genesis 37:5-8

5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more
6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed:
7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”
8 And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us?”

Joseph received a heavenly dream—a glimpse of his future assignment. But though the dream came from Heaven, Joseph was not yet ready to carry it. He had to learn Heaven’s character before he could carry Heaven’s calling.

Many of us have dreams and words from God that feel far away. Sometimes it’s not because they are wrong, but because Heaven is preparing us before the dream can be fulfilled.

There is a process in Aligning with the fullness of God’s purpose.

Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery. He found himself in Potiphar’s house, where he was falsely accused and thrown into prison.

At every step, Joseph had a choice: to complain and quit—or to keep Aligning with God’s purpose.

Genesis 39:21

But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

Even in unfair places, Heaven was working. Joseph’s alignment was not dependent on his situation—it was dependent on his faithfulness.

He did not let bitterness or offense pull him out of position. He kept his heart right, and because of that, Heaven stayed with him.

When we face injustice or delay, it’s easy to question God’s plan. But Heavenly Alignment means we stay faithful even when we do not understand.

We also need to understand that it is Heaven’s timeline and promotion that is coming. It is not in our timing, but in God’s timeline.

After years of waiting, Joseph was suddenly brought before Pharaoh to interpret a dream.

Genesis 41:15–16

15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.”
16 So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace”

Joseph had changed. He no longer pointed to his own ability—he pointed to God. That’s Alignment! When Heaven’s purposes flow through us, the glory always returns to the Father.

Joseph was then promoted to second in command of all Egypt. What was once just a dream, became a divine assignment that preserved nations.

Genesis 50:20

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

If we could always see with Heaven’s perspective, we would know that God turns all things around for good that will benefit many.

Joseph went through a lot on his journey, but he actually saved a nation and was fully reunited with his grateful family.

We must not get “stuck” because others don’t understand what is happening. When God has marked you–and He has–you just need to keep your trust in Him and know that your life counts. Hold onto God’s purpose and you will affect many through your faithfulness in God.

Even the painful parts of our journey are used for His glory.

PRAYER
Father,
Thank You for the dreams and visions You’ve given me. Even when I do not see how they will come to pass, I choose to trust You. Help me to stay Aligned with Heaven, even when life feels unfair. I give You my timeline, my emotions, and my expectations. Refine my heart so that when You open the doors, I am ready to walk through them with humility and wisdom. Use my life to save, heal, and restore others—just as You did with Joseph. Today, I declare, “I am Aligned with Heaven’s plan.”
Amen.
