FORTIFY

Day: Day Nineteen
Date: January 23, 2026

We are in the last days of the fast; can you believe it?

We must continue to seize the moments God has prepared for us.

Today we will understand why we are doing what we are doing, for God also spoke to me the word FORTIFY as a part of the HIGH CALL.

I know you want the definition of FORTIFY, so here it is.

FORTIFY means:

  • To secure
  • To give physical strength, courage or endurance to
  • To add mental and moral strength to
  • To enhance
  • To strengthen by military defenses

Do you recognize how important this is for us in answering the HIGH CALL?

It is loaded with promises! I want to help you understand why God is speaking this word to us and why we need to be FORTIFIED.

First, let’s look at what it means to secure.

How many of you recognize some insecurity in your life? Many Christians are searching for a sense of safety and protection in life’s uncertainties. When we look into the Scriptures, we find reassurance that God is our ultimate security. It is through His promises that we can find peace, knowing that He is worthy of our trust.

Let’s dive into the Word and discover powerful verses that remind us of the security we have in Him.

In our lives, we often face situations that might make us feel vulnerable or unsafe. As believers, we find comfort in the knowledge that God is our Protector. The Bible frequently reassures us of His divine shield and the safety we can find in Him. When we embrace these promises, we begin to understand the depth of God’s love for us and we recognize how He covers us like a safety blanket. It’s as if His mighty arms are wrapped around us, guarding us from harm and bolstering us against life’s storms.

Together, let us stand firm in the assurance that His protection is ever-present, guiding us through the darkness into the light of His love. As we search for security during tumultuous times, we will find strength in the truth that God is always watching over us.

Psalm 91:2

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We can find peace through our faith. When we seek security in God, we are assured of His Presence during our storms. This peace is not dependent on our circumstances, but rather comes from trusting that God is in control. He promises to calm our anxious hearts and to give us a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Another aspect of FORTIFY is:

  • To give physical strength, courage or endurance to

Understanding the promises that God has made to us is instrumental in securing our faith. The Cross sustains us and gives us physical strength to keep moving forward.

In the Gospels, we read about Jesus’s strength when He voluntarily endured the agony of the Cross to save mankind. Jesus’s story teaches us that strength isn’t just physical; it also involves courage, patience, and faith. Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of our strength from relying on God, trusting in His will, and having faith in His love for us. No matter what difficulties we face in life, we can draw on the strength of God to get through them.

It is not about our own strength; it is the strength we are attached to.

Psalm 18:2-3

2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

We can rely on Him every time we feel that we are weak. When we are weak, He is still strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

One of my favorite Scriptures is this one:

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Why is this a favorite Scripture? Because I know we aren’t in this alone. He is right there, never leaving you on your own. He has not forgotten about you.

Oh, what a wonderful God we serve! He is true to His promises concerning us.

We have nothing to fear, He Is fortifying us with His truth, with His life and with His Spirit.

Romans 15:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God’s people are coming out of the shadows and out of the background, and taking their place again in the forefront of society to bring change. We are helping those that have been crippled by discouragement, pain, and disillusionment.

The devil has raged a warfare against the Church with his lies that we would not prevail. But WE are not alone. And not only that, God Himself is fighting for us and we will not be moved!

The Church is God’s best showcase to prove His love.

Not only do we tell the truth, but we are the ones who live the truth and share His Power.

It is an amazing time for us to step into, and have more awareness than ever of how valuable we are, and what has been invested in us.

Let’s GO into all the world, fortified by God Himself and wreak havoc against the enemy!

PRAYER
Oh Father,
How thorough You are concerning us. You have given us everything we need to prevail against the enemy. You have entrusted us with so much! We thank You and we pray that this would be the most aggressive year we have ever spent standing firm and taking back what the enemy has tried to steal from us!
We are forever grateful! We want to prove it not just by worship, but by deeds as well. Put feet to our love, and boldness to our stand!
Let us keep our eyes fixed on You and Your promises, and let our lives be a pleasant aroma before You.
Amen?
