Day: Day 8
Date: January 15, 2024
So yesterday, we surveyed the broken down walls that are so evident.
Sometimes when you have dreamed the dreams of God, and you survey what the enemy has done, you can get discouraged by the obvious loss.
But like Nehemiah, we can ride with God through the places of loss because we have already seen the walls rebuilt by the eyes of the spirit.
We are the good news bearers.
We are the people with passion who can do something about it.
The shift can occur when we truly recognize who we are.
God is still on the throne, and He hears the cries of His people. He will restore that which needs to be RE-ESTABLISHED when they fast, repent, and pray.
Today, we are getting ready to rise and build.
Rise has many definitions:
- To get up from sleep and return from death
- To increase in intensity
- To attain a higher level or rank
- To take up arms
- To move upward
All of these definitions would require us to partner with God, which is exactly why we fast and pray together. That is the response when God asks us to REBUILD the walls.
It is a time when God’s vision rallies His people together as ONE to overtake the enemy’s destruction with God’s remedies.
Chapter 3 of Nehemiah is all about the people who rose up. (Please take the time to read it on your own).
Families together, side by side, all the people from the high priests down, put their hands to work.
Did you get that?
Side by side, the families gathered to repair and build, repair and build, repair and build.
They were determined to build a place where God would inhabit, once again.
I believe we should have the same goal. It begins with someone who will inquire of the Lord as to what is really on His heart at this time.
What breaks His heart should be what breaks our hearts.
We should arise and build the broken pathways that melt the distance between Heaven and earth.
When we pray, are we coming to God with a list of what we need, or are we coming to find out what Jesus is in intercession about?
Once we know, we will be moved to rise and build once again.
Build means:
- To develop according to a systematic plan
- To engage
- To develop
- To progress
- To use as a foundation
What does the Church look like if Christians come together with God’s plan and engage in the work that God highlights?
Every person within every Church has a section of the wall to build. Imagine if Christians would take ownership of their part of the wall.
What if everyone, during this fast, was willing to seek God about their part and be determined to repair their portion?
Imagine if everyone engaged in reaching souls with a determination that they would be God’s habitation. Imagine if they decided they would stay in prayer until they knew who they were supposed to reach and disciple, and they did it?
The walls would be repaired and the seats would be full in a short period of time.
Dream with God to develop a plan of how you, as a member of Liberty (or as a part of the Body of Christ), can develop something that will convey
God’s love to others and come alongside others to make it happen.
What if people would concentrate on building and not on the negativity, and what if they stay excited about the progress?
Excitement causes excitement!
What I am confident of is this: change has to come from the inside before it can transform the outside.
It is time to RE-ESTABLISH the foundation where:
- We fall in love with Jesus all over again.
- We devour the Word of God, and it becomes life and light to each one.
- We use our voices to destroy the enemy’s plan by partnering with other people in the Body of Christ for God’s purpose to be made known on earth!
What if we progressed by staying in the proper position together and were prepared in advance to win against the enemy?
We know this is the time to ARISE and BUILD because God’s will must be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
When we are determined we can be sure that the God of Heaven will prosper us.
When we understand that His eyes and heart are set on us, then we set our eyes on Him and things are in divine order.
We are not building alone. He is RE-ESTABLISHING the Church, including ours, to operate at a different level.
When we put our hands to what He has already established for us to accomplish, we will be the waymakers for many to live their lives differently.
Philippians 3: 12-16 TPT
12 I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into His abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me His own.
13 I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.
14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the Heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.
15 So let all who are fully mature have this same passion, and if anyone is not yet gripped by these desires, God will reveal it to them.
16 And let us all advance together to reach this victory-prize, following one path with one passion.
We must keep our eyes on the prize—the VICTORY PRIZE. It is the prize of the high calling of God.
Please join me on this pursuit for the lives that will be affected when His glory fills this earth.
PRAYER
God,
I just cry out for Your heart, and for Your people right now.
I repent for all the times I have not kept You first.
I repent for areas of pride, and ask for a spirit of repentance to come right now and change me from the inside out.
I repent for letting other things draw my attention away from You and what You are desiring.
Break my heart for what breaks Yours, and help me to arise again with resurrection power.
Let Your passionate pursuit of others come into my heart, and let me not be still until I know I have answered Your call to arise and build.
Thank You for Your forgiveness and for re-commissioning me today.
I accept my section of the wall that needs to be REBUILT.
Provide wisdom, strength and love as I go forward in obedience.
I also send this out to all Christians everywhere!
Amen.
