FOCUS

Day: Day 3
Date: January 10, 2024

To have a proper perspective that matches Heaven’s perspective, we have to learn that instead of focusing on our condition, we must start focusing on our position.

Nehemiah had to see himself now as a servant of the most High God and answer the call on his life.

God provided Nehemiah with new boldness as he moved forward to accomplish what could only be done if he partnered with God through the restoration process.

Nehemiah 2:7-8 NKJV

7 Furthermore I said to the king, “If it pleases the king, let letters be given to me for the governors of the region beyond the River, that they must permit me to pass through till I come to Judah,
8 And a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he must give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel which pertains to the Temple, for the city wall, and for the house that I will occupy.” And the king granted them to me according to the good hand of my God upon me.

Nehemiah asked the king for protection, for provision for the rebuilding, and provision for himself. And he received it!

Church, our understanding and acknowledgment of the position that has been provided to us by Jesus will change our focus.

We need to understand that as sons and daughters of Almighty God, we have also received the blessing of God to complete our assigned purpose!

The blessing is not predicated on our status in life or on perfection. God is looking for someone who will move into position with compassion for
the sake of others. Then He will make provision.

When my daughter and son-in-law adopted Ryan and Grayson from Ukraine, they became a part of our hearts immediately. There is no difference in our love, affection, or what we are willing to do for them. They are ours completely and we withhold nothing from them now or ever.

These attributes of loving unconditionally come from God. We can only love correctly when we know HIS LOVE correctly.

I know that we are always in the process of discovering God’s unconditional love for us. However, on God’s side of things, He determined to love us completely even before we were created.

The blessing of God partnering with us is always available, just like salvation is always available to everyone.

Those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior have been fully adopted and are family members with the Godhead. Therefore, we have full access to all that God has provided for us to accomplish the dreams He has prepared for us.

Whether we take advantage of all that salvation has provided for us or not, the price He paid will always be available until His return, as will His covenant blessings.

We must allow our minds to be changed as we move forward in understanding our assignments, corporately and individually.

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Nehemiah saw himself as a cupbearer until he realized that God’s assignment for him was to be sent to Judah so that He may REBUILD and RE-ESTABLISH a dwelling place for God.

We must see that God is going to utilize each one of us, His Church, to REBUILD some broken things, broken people, and broken down systems. That is
why we must willingly move together to bring forth a RE-ESTABLISHMENT of what He desires.

The first thing we must do is posture ourselves properly before the Lord.

When Nehemiah did this, suddenly there was a change of heart, and a change in circumstances, as he recognized that he was serving another King besides King Artaxerxes.

He was a servant in two spheres at one time. Similarly, we are on Earth, but we are also operating from the Heavenly realm.

Ephesians 2:6-7 NKJV

6 And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Oh Church, even as I am writing this, it is October 13, 2023, and terrorists are issuing decrees of death against Jews and Christians.

This is a time when we must see that we, the Church, are necessary for the results God wants in the earth. We met at the Church and cried out to God and joined others on an international call to prayer, to lift up our voice as Nehemiah did. We believe that our God will make Himself known to individuals and turn the tide.

I also know that we must continue to bombard Heaven with our hearts full of compassion, like Nehemiah.

This is a promise from the prophet, Zechariah.

Zechariah 9:14-17 KJV

14 And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The Lord of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.
16 And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land.
17 For how great is His goodness, and how great is His beauty!

I know that as the Body of Christ returns to releasing deep, holy cries to God, with tears flowing from desperate hearts, our God will send forth His arrows and defend the innocent.

I know that we are in the last days, and that how we pray and how often we pray matters.

God is desperate for our desperation!

Because our God is a God who has given us power in prayer, He comes and fights when we cry out.

We will see all He did for Nehemiah because his heart cried out on behalf of others.

Our God is waiting and we must respond.

PRAYER

Our Dear Father,

Please come with Your mercy and rain Your divine intervention down from Heaven.

You have told us in the past that we can change the time frames. We, the Church, can move Your heart to delay judgment and release mercy like You agreed to do for Abraham when he prayed for Sodom and Gomorrah.

We cry out for more time to reach more people with the good news of salvation.

We cry out for opportunities and we declare that as we fast and pray, we will function with the knowledge of the importance of eternity.

People are dying and facing eternity in heaven or hell.

Please, God, utilize us to be bold vessels of honor to Your sacrifice and help us invite many to come to know You.

We pray that they will respond and that we will be a part of the last days’ revival You have spoken of.

May many be saved, even this day, as we cry out on behalf of those lost in darkness.

We break forth in the light of Your love, Lord Jesus. And we call them into Your great salvation.

For the sake of the cross, we pray,

Amen.
