God’s Devotion – Our Devotion

Devotion means affectionate, loving, tender-hearted kindness, all that and more in one word. God is devoted to us as a loving father, but how can we be devoted to him if we do not have a proper understanding of who he is?

He made us like him, which means we are a replica of him on earth, it also means we’re invaluable. We have the DNA of God and the father is so fond of us as a mother feels about her newborn – all protective. You cannot talk God out of being devoted to us, irrespective of whatever it is we may have done – good or bad.

Most of the time we do not receive God’s blessings because we never expect. God is so totally devoted to us and he bestows on us his blessings as well. God has a mandate on our lives, and he has also equipped us with so much ability. Before we were ever formed in our mother’s womb, he knew us (Jer. 1:5).

Understanding all that, God also desires that we be intimate and devoted to him. For David – who was described as a man after God’s heart, he detailed his intimate experience with God in Ps. 139 and further went on to set a pace for praise, admiration and adoration which

really endeared him to God. David summarily became crazy for God, and praised him like a crazy worshipper, to the point his wife became ashamed of him.

David was having an epiphany in Ps. 139, but we can have an epiphany too. You should make it happen inside of yourself so you can also make it happen for others. God has given us everything that pertains to life and Godliness. He has blessed us from the beginning and has always thought about us. He respects us so much and wants us to hit the re-start button with him.

God wants us all in – as he has us in the palm of his hands, he wants us to be devoted to him. When we receive all of God, then we will be dangerous to the enemy. God’s love for us also conquers everything. We possibly may not be able to contain all that he’s got in stock for us as we go ahead in utmost devotion to him.
