Today we will continue to look at defining more clearly what the Lord is saying to us individually and corporately to go ALL OUT.
Another part of this powerful declaration and definition is this:
- To give it your ALL; to try really hard and give a situation 100% of your attention
You may already be thinking, “This is too much for me. I can’t do that. No one can.” God isn’t asking you to do what you CAN’T do. He is asking you for what you are willing and able to do – not FOR HIM, but WITH HIM. Oh, doesn’t that just change the perspective and give you a different reason to do it? He counts us as partners in changing lives and furthering the Kingdom of God. You and me—little ol’ us—whom He chose from before we were born to do great and mighty things WITH HIM, are His partners in changing the world.
Moses didn’t take the people of God out of Egypt without God. The three men in the fiery furnace didn’t face the furnace without the fourth man (Jesus). Elijah didn’t call down power without the power working WITH him. The disciples didn’t change the world alone. And neither will we. We will never have to. He is the ever-present, ALL powerful, ALL loving, ALL giving and ALL knowing Creator of the universe who chose YOU! When He asks for 100% of your attention, He is asking for you to be 100% aware of His presence abiding with you.
When you are aware of God's presence, then His character comes through—in your attitude, in the way you think about things, in how you respond to people, and the way you handle situations.
In this way, we are being transformed, and as a result we are able to take His presence with us wherever we may go. Above ALL other things in our lives, including service to the Lord, we need to be living in God's presence on purpose, for purpose. Sometimes we can get so busy “doing” that we neglect just “being” in God's presence.
But we must realize if we are giving our ALL, then it starts with giving our ALL at His feet. It’s there, in God's presence, that we can hear God speak. Inspiration and creativity can flow and wisdom on how to apply it also begins to flow. Then serving Him in any capacity He chooses gives us joy and life.
It is a beautiful plan getting into God's presence daily, and walking in it gives you not just overflow, but “outflow.”
That is why we are fasting and praying.
God longs to have fellowship with us, but sometimes we feel ashamed or unworthy and we hide from Him. We may feel as though we have no time in our busy schedule to spend time just basking in God's presence, but I believe God wants us to put off ALL these hindrances and excuses to just commune with Him.
1 John 4:12-13 NKJV
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
The reward is great.
Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV
23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
We can have God’s heart on the matter. In letting that be real in our lives, we do everything we do, with 100% of our attention and effort.
The Passion Bible Translation says it this way:
22b For we are to live our lives with pure hearts in the constant awe and wonder of our Lord God.
23 Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others.
24 For we know that we will receive a reward, an inheritance from the Lord, as we serve the Lord Yahweh, the Anointed One!
When we give Him ALL of our love and devotion, He goes into action to make sure we are rewarded—now and in eternity. That is the giving, loving God we serve. We can never out-give Him. But I think we should try! Imagine the end result of that! We are ALL IN so we can go ALL OUT.
we recognize the season we are now in and we know it will take a radical people to accomplish radical things. We are going ALL OUT with You. We are loving You first, loving others with the love we receive from You. We are diligently fasting and praying so that we can get beyond our own thinking and into Your heart. We believe You are coming to immerse us in a fresh new anointing of fire that will destroy everything but Your will in our lives. We thank You, Lord, that we have a Body You have formed for unity and strength and that You are empowering us for greatness.
We love You the MOST. Thank You, Lord, for all You are and ALL You are doing.
In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.
