Well, as we have gone through this fasting guide and have heard the word of the Lord for 2019, we should all have great anticipation for the future of all that God holds for each one of us.
It is God’s design that we know Him and the hope He has in mind for each one of us.
Ephesians 1:17-19 NKJV
17 The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
I believe the Lord is pressing into us as we press into Him. There is an enlightening we need for us to have the understanding we need to be assured of our full inheritance.
This includes the exceeding greatness of HIS power. (I am doing a happy dance in my heart right now just typing these words!)
It’s all about Jesus. It’s all about HIS power.
But it is also all about us walking in such an awareness of what He has made us to be that the rest of it just flows to us and through us as He pours His revelation on us for the moment and the future.
The Church—all the Church, everywhere—needs to devote themselves to prayer again if they are to walk in the power that they need, and that the world needs.
Acts 4:31 NKJV
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
There is something deep inside of us, put there by our Father, that gives us the desire to pray for something to happen that will shake things up! We have a desire to pray prayers that will fill us up! These are prayers that bring a supernatural boldness that will cause us to be able to be ALL OUT with our hearts full of what He has just done among us.
I believe the shift that needs to happen begins with us asking God to re-ignite the desire to pray with such fire that people can’t wait to get to prayer to see what God will say and do during that time.
I remember being in a meeting when I was young and they asked for everyone who wanted to be an intercessor to come forward and get an impartation for it. Well, I was honest. I did NOT want that! I thought that was the most boring part, and I wanted someone else to do that. I wanted to serve God in other ways. I didn’t have my own agenda, except for NOT being a weird intercessor. So I stood in the back and said, “God you know if I went up there it would not be true. But if you want me to ever be that, YOU will have to give me the desire.”
Well, obviously God did because nothing happens without prayer. Nothing! Prayer isn’t some necessary exercise we have to do. It is a precious time with God in communion with Him. It’s where we can move past all the things that we “feel” into the place where we know how He feels. He shares His heart and His feelings. His heart for people becomes our heart because in prayer He reaches into our heart and enlarges it to hold all of them.
It is a place where His dreams come alive inside of us because our focus is on Him. It’s a place He gets our full attention. It is a place where we can tell Him how much He means to us, how much we love Him, and how much we desire Him.
And then He comes and touches us so deeply that everything else melts away and His will begins to show up in our lives without working at it. It is because the oneness has happened.
If we push past the selfish prayers and we push past the natural longings into the spiritual desires that come out of our spirit, our soul will easily align to Him.
How I love the sweetness of His presence that happens in prayer! Yes, the end result is boldness and power, but the amazingness comes in being with Him!
Further, the greatest leadership training there is, is when there is a cry from a people who are together in their desire for His desires.
I want revival too. Yes, I want a huge happening of the God kind, but I want to see a people who run to the prayer meeting like they run to hear a famous preacher, teacher, or evangelist. That is what I believe God wants also!
I don’t think I am anybody special. I don’t even understand why God trusts me and called me to do what He called me to do. But here is what I do know: I hungered for more of Him, I asked for more of Him, and I cried to get rid of anything that didn’t make HIM look good through me. And I still do.
You see, it isn’t about our “skills.” We all have been given gifts by God that will make us happy when they are utilized. It’s more exciting than anything else to see God touch a life through me. It’s the icing on the cake! However, those moments don’t come without asking Him:
- What do You need, Lord?
- What is on Your heart today?
- Who are You praying for?
- Can I join You in praying for them?
- What are You trying to communicate to others and how can I say it the best way?
- Will You fill me up with what You want and empty me out of anything else?
These are my normal requests, but once I get past the natural and tap into His presence, then my list isn’t a list. I just get consumed with Him naturally, and prayer just happens.
- I could be fighting for something and the warrior comes out.
- I could be repenting on behalf of others or something I need to repent for that He showed me.
- I could be crying for the hurting and broken and speaking their freedom.
- I could be experiencing the joy He knows I need to keep going, etc. Are you getting the picture?
Prayer is AMAZING! And it is supposed to be one of the most exciting times we have privately, and together.
What does the future hold for all of us? We will find out in prayer. When we know Him and His heart, He will certainly manifest Himself in our hearts. He will lead us as His Bride into the place He has already seen and prepared for us with Him. I believe He is going to crash in on human agendas. I believe He is going to require some changes from us, but they will be what ends up making us better.
I believe this is the greatest time for the Church! It is time for the Bride to welcome her Groom into the place where they enjoy each other’s company more than any other time in history.
I am dreaming of a people who are trembling on their knees before Him as they enjoy the privilege of bowing before the Lord of lords and King of kings. As they bow, they get infused with all that is needed to change them, affect the environments and change the world.
I have been in revivals and I have studied revivals. Let us not seek revival. Let us seek Him until He is found. Together.
I am looking forward to reaching His heart with you. And that’s the way it works. It is well with my soul.
Thank you for joining me on this fast, and on this journey.
we are ready for whatever it takes to go to a different place in Your presence. Please let Your desires become our own. Draw us unto Yourself. Let our hearts crave praying so we can communicate with You and carry out whatever You have on Your heart daily, Lord. We have enjoyed giving You our time. Just because the fast is over doesn’t mean we are over being closer to You and giving You first priority. Help us to stay in divine order as we discover what going ALL OUT means to You. In Your precious name we pray,
